Research Fellows in chemistry, physics, mathematics and engineering

Call for 5 postdoctoral research fellows

Within the Marie Curie Initial Training Network MINILUBES we are offering 5 postdoctoral positions for a period up to 15 months to research on ionic liquids as lubricants and their interactions with surfaces in nano-scale.

Fellows with a background in chemistry, physics, mathematics and engineering are invited to join MINILUBES. In detail, the fellows are expected to participate in integrative research projects applying a variety of methodologies comprising chemical synthesis, characterisation of fluids, surfaces and materials as well as mathematical methods for simulation. The most important methods are FTIR and Raman spectroscopy, chromatographical methods coupled with diverse detection systems in particular MS, thermal analysis, ICP-OES, SEM/EDAX, XPS, AES, TOF-SIMS, AFM, confocal white light microscopy and numerous tribological test methods. Thus, the fellows will receive comprehensive training in a variety of research areas relevant to modern lubricant and lubrication science.

Due to the aspired mobility within the training network the fellows will be expected to apply at hosts other than their own nationality. Additionally the fellows may travel between some of the host institutions in order to benefit from the expertise provided by each host group.

For application please add your diploma certificate, proof of citizenship and CV including a precise schedule of habitations and duration of stays for at least the last 5 years.

Explicitly should be stated that due to the regulation of the Marie Curie Program applications from femal fellows are highly appreciated.

Further information about the offered theses, training, and mobility clauses may be found on http://www.minilubes.net/html/vacancies.html.
