The Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking a PhD student for the topic “Geometrical metrology of complex systems”. The PhD student will be working as a part of the project “Yaw Drive Unit – Novel Yaw Bearing and Drive Unit for Wind Turbines” which is funded by the Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation. The PhD project encompasses research activities involving coordinate metrology using tactile and optical probes, surface texture characterization, data fusion, mathematical modeling, and functionality analyses.
