Pakistan: Charles Wallace Trust Visiting Fellowship

Charles Wallace Trust Visiting Fellowship for Pakistan: The Charles Wallace Pakistan Trust has announced that it will sponsor one scholar or a practitioner from Pakistan as visitor to the Department of Politics and International Relations for one Oxford term in the academic year. The first visitor is expected within the Centre for International Studies in Trinity 2009.

What it is:



The Charles Wallace Visiting Fellowship to the Department of Politics and International Relations is sponsored by the Charles Wallace Pakistan Trust. The duration of the Fellowship is up to three months, and the Visiting Fellow is expected to be in residence during one Oxford term.

The purpose of the fellowship is to advance the understanding of contemporary problems and issues facing Pakistan across a broad range of themes. The Fellowship provides return economy airfare from Pakistan and a monthly stipend to cover costs at Oxford.

How to apply:

The Visiting Fellow may be a scholar or a practitioner. Selection follows the Department policy and procedure for Academic Visitors and is subject to the approval of the Charles Wallace Pakistan Trust and the British Council in Pakistan. Please note that it is essential for visitors to have identified and corresponded with an academic sponsor who is a full member of the Department of Politics and International Relations, Oxford, before submitting a formal application.

The Deadline for this round is Friday, 20th February, 2009.
