CSIRO Energy Technology is seeking a motivated student with an excellent academic record to join our research team to develop novel ionic liquids to absorb CO2 which can reduce CO2 emissions from existing coal fired power plants. You will be involved in synthesizing and characterizing ionic liquids and studying their gas absorption properties and mechanism. See website for more details.

This scholarship is offered dependent on funds to one person. Open for applications from March 7, 2011 until April 8, 2011.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD27000 (per annum). This award is to be used for travel and miscellaneous purposes. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: CHEMICAL SCIENCES, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES, Physical chemistry (incl. structural), PHYSICAL SCIENCES or SCIENCE - GENERAL. It is required that your study starts no earlier than July 1, 2011 and no later than June 30, 2014.
