The University of Lucerne Faculty of Law is pleased to offer two new positions starting December 1, 2009. Persons chosen for these positions will conduct research at the i-call (international communications and art law) research centre for three years within the re-search project International Trade in Indigenous Cultural Heritage: Legal and Policy Issues (the Project), funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF).

Conduct research within the scope of the Project, including 3-4 weeks of field work at one of the Project Partners institutes in the United States, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
Assist with the management of the Project (e.g. with regard to the website, library, and research database).
Assist with and contribute to the Projectrelevant presentations and teaching activities of the Project Leader.
Assist with the coordination and organisation of workshops and symposia for the Project.
Assist with research reporting according to requirements of the SNF.
Qualifications:
University degree in law (good to very good grades).
Good knowledge in at least two of the following research areas: trade regulation, human rights, intellectual property, cultural heritage and cultural property.
Basic knowledge or pronounced interest in interdisciplinary research including indigenous issues.
Excellent language skills in English and basic knowledge in German.
Good IT-knowledge.
Commitment to finish a personal PhD project within three years.
