Computational Developmental Biology Cardiff University – Cardiff School of Biosciences

Research Associate
Computational Developmental Biology
Cardiff University – Cardiff School of Biosciences

A position is available for a Research Associate to join an exciting new international project iSAM: Integrative Systems Modelling of the Shoot Apical Meristem in Prof. Jim Murray’s group in Molecular Biosciences at Cardiff School of Biosciences.

Funded by an ERA-NET grant (http://www.erasysbio.net/ERASysBio_PLUS_Projects), you will work together with a biologist to develop and test models relating cell cycle control and growth to the spatial development of the plant shoot. The computational biologist will be involved in the development of models linking cell growth and division to spatial changes of the shoot tip and the generation of predictions that will be tested by the collaborating biologist. Image processing of 3D and 4D confocal images resulting from experimentation will also be involved. Read the rest of this entry »
